Fiona is the Cabinet Member for Regeneration & Corporate Strategy on Southwark Council. She represents Nunhead Ward.

Fiona  is responsible for ensuring that spatial and economic development in Southwark delivers for our local communities and is determined to see the regeneration plans for the borough made a reality.

Nunhead Ward MapShe has lived in Southwark since 1997 and has been the Labour councillor for Nunhead Ward since 2002.

Her priorities for Nunhead & East Peckham include:

  • Protecting and improving green spaces – in particular stopping plans to build houses on Brayards Green
  • Delivering the long promised Nunhead & East Peckham Renewal project – including improving the shopping areas of Evelina Rd, Queens Rd and Meeting House Lane
  • Building a new community centre for Nunhead

Fiona is now a full-time councillor, prior to Labour taking control in 2010 she worked part-time for Valerie Shawcross AM as her researcher assisting with constituency projects in Lambeth & Southwark and transport policy for the London Assembly Labour Group. Fiona combined this job with being Chair of Overview & Scrutiny on the council, holding the then LibDem-Tory council to account.

Up till 2004 Fiona worked in pension fund management, first for Kleinwort Benson and then for Barclays Global Investors. She has a Masters in Economics from Cambridge University and an MSc in Finance from the University of London.
