Green Day 2009

Another highlight of my weekend was Green Day on Nunhead Green. Here are some photos

Microgeneration Nunhead style - live music powered by audience pedal power. A semi cycle of bikes attached to dynamos generating the electricity to power the amps.

Green Day also saw the opening of the new Nunhead Green Children's Play Area. Championed by local dad Howard Francis, the area was jointly funded by the Nunhead Renewal project and the Nunhead & Peckham Rye Community Council. I had the honour of cutting the ribbon.

Althea and I also had a go on the Rollapaluza after which we were certainly in need of tea and cakes!

Well done to all the organisers - I'm already looking forward to 2010!
